A New Constitution For Europe Examined & Explained By Northern Ireland’s First Elected MEP Dr Ian R K Paisley - Part Five

PART FIVE
Dr. Ian R. K. Paisley

SHOULD THE UK JOIN THE EURO?

The EU Single Currency project is driven by the political agenda of those who want “ever closer union”.  It is one of the main planks of a European super state.  Its roots are in the Treaty of Rome, rather than based upon rational economic reason.  The Euro-zone is not delivering the prosperity it claimed it would.

Its political nature is alien to that which British citizens wish for.

Governmental Public expenditure on public services would be subject to the GSP.

To join the Euro-zone means giving up our democracy, our powers of self-government, our economy and our capacity for independent action.

Because some Member States choose a Single Currency does not mean we should.

LIKE THE NEW CONSTITUTION FOR EUROPE, THERE IS NO OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PEOPLE TO HAVE THEIR SAY!

IN CONCLUSION:

Under the New Constitutional Treaty real power will remain and indeed be strengthened, in the hands of those we do not elect and whom we cannot remove.

The EU itself is not a democracy, even if its Member States are.

It is “government by officials” who have adorned themselves with the jewels of democracy and being so decked, hope the covering will disguise the content.

This vast democratic shortfall is shored-up by the New Constitutional Treaty.

The democratic deficit is the real enlargement which is taking place!

This Treaty is the EU attempting to ensure control by the Commission of what is becoming an unwieldy union.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Tell others.  Inform your family, friends and neighbours.  Campaign by writing to the P.M. and the Queen asking for a Referendum on this New Constitution.  Encourage others to do the same.  Be alert to new developments as the IGC progresses and reaches conclusion.

Time is of the essence.  The plan is to have the new constitution in place by Europe Day, May 2004.

It’s your future.  This will become your constitution.

Your voice counts – you alone can make it heard!

THE  NEW CONSTITUTION FOR EUROPE

Is it? ….

A “tidying up” of all past Treaties?

“Good for Britain, Good for the EU?”

The dawn of a new Enlarged Europe?

The Birth of a European Super State?

The end of democracy as we know it in the UK?

YOU HAVE THE FACTS - YOU DECIDE
